Questions, bugs, or feature requests — email joran.vancoillie@gmail.com. It's a one-person project, so replies may take a few days, but every message is read.

A bug report is most useful with your iOS version, your device, and what you did just before it went wrong.

Frequently asked

Does my library sync between devices?
Yes, through your own iCloud account, as long as both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive enabled. Syncing can take a minute; it also needs a network connection on both devices.
Where does the film data come from?
The Movie Database (TMDb), a community-maintained film and TV database. Streaming availability is provided by JustWatch. If something is wrong or missing, it can usually be corrected at themoviedb.org, and CineScore will pick the change up the next time it refreshes.
Does CineScore work offline?
Your library, scores, and notes are always available offline. Artwork you've already seen is cached. To prepare for a trip, open ⋯ → Settings → Download artwork for offline use.
It's using a lot of storage. How do I free it up?
⋯ → Settings → Clear cached artwork. Nothing is lost — no scores, notes, or watchlist entries — and artwork is re-downloaded as you browse.
Can I back up or move my library?
Yes. ⋯ → Settings → Export library writes everything to a JSON file you can keep anywhere. Import merges a file back in, matching titles by their TMDb id, so importing twice won't create duplicates.
Why don't I see personalised recommendations?
Discover builds them from titles you've scored 9 or 10. Rate a few favourites and the recommendation rows appear.
Is my data sold or shared?
No. CineScore collects nothing. See the Privacy Policy.
How do I delete everything?
Delete the app to remove it from that device. To remove the synced copy, go to iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → CineScore.
